    Expertise

Dr. Yudkoff is investigating amino acid metabolism in the brain and whole body, focusing on the development of new treatments for children with inborn errors of nitrogen metabolism such as the urea cycle defects. He also studies the effects on brain amino acid metabolism of the ketogenic diet, a highly effective therapy for children with epilepsy.
