TARGETING CRIME Dr. Duane Thomas, Co-Investigator of PCVPC’s Research Core and Assistant Professor at The University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, was featured in Penn Current. In the article, “Targeting Crime,” he discusses the collaborative nature of PCVPC and emphasizes the importance of involving the community every step of the way. In his role with the Center, Dr. Taylor will tailor some well-known antiviolence strategies to specific neighborhoods in West and Southwest Philadelphia with the goal of decreasing truancy and crime among young people.
