Our Mission
Welcome to the research home of the division of pediatric orthopaedic surgery within the Department of Surgery at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia . Our division is heavily involved in research to better our understanding and care of problems afflicting the musculoskeletal system in children. We are committed to collaboration among specialties and among institutions, and therefore welcome you to peruse our website to learn about our resources and activities.
Opportunities to join our research efforts vary from year-long research fellowships to short-term collaboration, as visiting scholars, students, and residents. All research conducted in our division is approved by the Institutional Review Board of the Joseph Stokes Jr. Research Institute of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia . All principal investigators are members of the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
