The fun-loving staff at the laboratory

Our research has two major goals: development of a vaccine for HIV & AIDS and application of gene transfer technology to prevent and treat disease.

To accomplish these goals, we work with numerous collaborators in academia, non-profit organizations, and industry. Most of our research is funded by the National Institutes of Health and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative. We are also the beneficiaries of significant support from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
