Research Interests
Dr. Zuppa is a fourth year pediatric critical care attending at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She received her medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook Medical School, and completed her pediatric internship, residency and fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Zuppa, board-certified in pediatrics, critical care, and clinical pharmacology pursuing her research within the Division Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics. She has an MS in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania as well. Her research interests focus on the clinical pharmacology of critically ill children. Dr. Zuppa continues to monitor drug prescription patterns in the urban pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) setting and is pursuing collaboration with the National Institute for Child Health and Development. She is in the 2 nd year of her K-award from the NIH, which is focused on investigating improved pharmacotherapy for critically ill children. She is the Chair of the Steering Committee on the pediatric knowledgebase initiative.
