Research Interests
Ms. Sylvester is the Administrative Director of the PPRU and the Manager of the Clinical Trials Office, Training and Compliance. She received her BA/BSN from the University of Delaware. She has served on the Institutional Review Board as a scientific reviewer since 1999. Ms Sylvester has presented nationally on topics related to INDs and IDEs, pediatric consenting, and FDA regulations that Institutional Review Boards adhere to in their determination of the appropriate risk category for pediatric studies. She currently serves on the Oversight Committee for the Management of Myelomenigocele Study. She was intimately involved with the development of the online Clinical Research Coordinator: Core Curriculum, which certifies research coordinators within CHOP. Ms Sylvester is also the Principle Investigator from CHOP on a recent NACHRI trial examining nursing acuity models.
