Mass Spectrometry Core

The Mass Spectrometry Core measures stable isotope enrichment (carbon-13, nitrogen-15 and deuterium) in small molecules such as amino acids, carbon dioxide, water, carbohydrates, ammonia and organic acids. This is important in performing metabolic studies, particularly kinetic studies of the rate of metabolite turnover.

Please refer questions regarding this facility to Dr. Marc Yudkoff, Ext. 3412.
