Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credit
On November 28, 2006, the Center for Biomedical Informatics (CBMi) Informatics Education Division was given the approval to grant CME credit to physicians and nurse practitioners who attend either the CBMi Seminar Series or the Healthcare Informatics Colloquium. Each seminar attended is worth one credit of CME. In addition, nurses who attend the Healthcare Informatics Colloquium will receive contact hours.

Sponsoring an Educational Program
The Training and Education Division provides consultation services for individuals outside of CBMi who are interested in pursuing an educational program relating to informatics. The Training and Education Division will provide consultation for curriculum development. It will also arrange and plan the location and itinerary of scheduled meetings.

Professional Development
The Informatics Education Division of the Center for Biomedical Informatics provides advising services for those interested in pursuing a degree or certificate in an academic discipline related to informatics.

In addition, the Informatics Education Division provides a list of academic programs related to informatics that are offered by several universities.
