Operations Reporting

Data from EpicCare can support patient reminders and recalls and can also help solve operational issues or questions related to workloads and billing. Several examples are listed below.

"I have noticed that we used more Bicillin® than we charged for, according to our billing office's reports. How do I find the
'missing doses'?"
The Clinical Reporting Unit (CRU) can identify the visits (by diagnosis or other criteria) when the medication may have been used and provide a list of patients and encounters for further review.

"I need to send patient reminders for flu shots. Is there a tool to help me with this task?"
Flu shot reminder tools are created annually based on current recommendations.

"We were recently notified of a recall of a medication or immunization. How do I identify the patients who have been prescribed that medication?"
Patient lists can be quickly derived from medication records (or other data types) and distributed to the clinical practices.

"Some of my staff members perceive unequal workloads within the group. Can I get data to explore this?"
Productivity data are available based on several criteria.

"The state is requiring a new log for its immunization program. Do I have to fill this out on paper? How do I identify the patients
I need to report?"
The CRU not only provides ongoing electronic reporting to immunization registries, but can also create summary reports based on defined criteria.
