Human Subjects Research

Human Subjects Research is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure required to support the Hospital's Institutional Review Board (IRB) committees including electronic systems, budget and financial tracking. The department implements and maintains all IRB management systems, and trains IRB staff, investigators and study coordinators. Human Subjects Research also collaborates with other departments to ensure that IRB policies and procedures, educational activities and operational systems enable the IRB's and Hospital's human subjects protection programs to function effectively.
